A Class 101 DMU with a Carlisle to Leeds stopping service is seen near Hellifield on 16th October 1976. Closest seems to be E56052, its partner is likely E51223, both allocated to Neville Hill. Paul Braybrook.

Class 101 DMU at Thwaite Street, Cottingham

19th October 1983

A Beverley - Hull train with E56052 leading passes the wooden crossing box at Thwaite Street in Cottingham on 19th October 1983. Although I lived most of my life in the village, this is the only photograph I have of the box which was demolished when control of the signalling and crossings was transferred to Hull. Syd Young.

28th September 1985

A Class 101/108 Hybrid Two-Car DMU formed of cars M54052 & M51910 was departing from Croston with a Preston to Ormskirk service on September 28th 1985. Martyn Hilbert.

Class 101 DMU at Midge Hall

29th September 1985

A two-car Class 101/108 DMU with Driving Trailer Second Lavatory (DTSL) M54052 leading, presumably with 51910, was accelerating away from the single line token exchange at Midge Hall, whilst working a Preston to Ormskirk service on September 29th 1985. The home signal on the Down Line, controlled from the 'box at Midge Hall, is the only semaphore still extant in the Preston area. Martyn Hilbert.
