Class 105 54125 is seen passing Saltley on it's way to Norwich, 30.11.1984. This was a regular working in 1984, before being replaced by a Class 31/4 are coaching stock. Andy Cole.
The site of the former Cromer Junction which gave access to Cromer High, the first station in the town which opened in 1877, Cromer High was closed to passengers in 1954 ant freight in 1960. Here we see a Norwich allocated Cravens class 105 dmu made up of cars E54125 + E53373, with a Sheringham-Norwich service, which calls at Cromer (Beach) and as the name implies is far more conveniently situated in the town. 22nd August 1985. Andrew J Crowther.
Our train to Sheringham simmering at Norwich on March 15th 1986 with Cravens set E54125 + E53373 numbered set 30. Weeks later it was transferred to Cambridge for DPU use. By November a new (and final) set 30 had been formed, the famous Stratford painted 'Green Cravens'. Photo by Philip Mott. Gerard Fletcher.
Boarded up on the inside, Class 105 trailer E54125 is in a trainload of condemned vehicles bound for Snailwell. Seen at Ely Dock on July 12th 1988 behind 47 323. Surface Stock.
Ipswich and Cravens Class 105 E51271 + E56125 forming Norwich set no. 49. The train is the 06.58 Leicester to Harwich Parkeston Quay which I'd travelled on from March on 9/9/81. Later in the day this unit was seen forming the 14.50 Ipswich to Stamford service. Some late 70s fashion still in evidence here, even if it is 1981. Gerard Fletcher.
At Norwich on 15/3/86 is Sheringham bound Set 30 on the left (E54125 closest) alongside Set 34, a relatively recent arrival at Norwich depot, but destined to be one of the final seven sets based there. Formed of E54421 & E53366, the set number is shown in the old destination indicator on the trailer which is possibly unique. Photo by Philip Mott. Gerard Fletcher.
A lovely afternoon at Cromer with Cravens set 30, E53373 + E54125 loading up for Sheringham. Note the driver walking to the other end of the train and the young guard watching out for the lady with her pram. 15/3/86. Photo by Phil Mott. Gerard Fletcher.
