In their early days of parcel use - before roller shutter doors were fitted - M55982 and presumably M55972 are seen in Manchester Victoria on 26 March 1986. Brian Daniels.
Former Bedford-St Pancras Diesel Hydraulic Red Triangle DMU Driving Cars 55972 (51611) & 55982 (51596) running as Parcel Unit 912, were passing Daisyfield level crossing at Blackburn with a diverted Workington to Manchester mail service on March 29th 1986.
