SUPPLIERS
I have had to get new seals made for the jumper lids of the Wickham unit, and have ordered extra to sell on to reduce the effect of the tooling costs. These are available at £1 each plus p&p. Contact me for further details.

WICKHAM PROJECT
Work continues at a grand pace at the Midland Railway Centre. On the trailer car all the interior panelling is almost complete. The wall panels are made up of melamine bonded to aluminium. For the ceilings the traditional DMU hardboard has been used. The toilet cubicle has been built from scratch, this just being ¾ plywood. The cab is complete and just awaiting testing of the vacuum system before the final panels are fitted. The air and the electrics have tested OK. |

The power car is having new bars welded to the floor for the seats to be fitted to. Just the framework for the guards van partition remains to be built, the rest are in place. The cab is in an advanced state with all the wiring in place and most of the desk constructed. Renewal of the wiring to the jumpers has begun. The vehicle is up on jacks, the solebar about 6ft high with the bogies out. Luxury! |
