General Prior to taking a look to the various preserved railcars a brief note on classification. There is a letter part (Alb=petrol railcar, Aln=diesel railcar, Ln=trailer) and two group of digits. The first two digits represent the number of seats and if there are MU connections the first digit is repeated; the second group is the progressive number of which the first digit represent the builder(1=FIAT, 2=Breda,3=OM). Accommodation is always in open saloons and a toilet is always present. Note also that total power of the engines was quite high especially in the latest designs but very few trailers were built due to the mountainous nature of the country. Pre-war
