These trollies, are believed to have been built in the mid-1950s. They are somewhat larger than the UK type of trollies. They are powered by a straight six Ford petrol engine and seat up to nine people on reversible seats. They have a driving position in opposite RH corners, complete with instruments, throttle, gearlever and other controls. They have been variously modified over the years, and not all have the bull bar on the front. They have a plan to use them for leisure purposes on lightly laid branch lines, a number of which are shortly to be privatised by Spoornet.

Behind the Wickham below is a 5 man Trackmaster powered by a 1600cc Ford engine. On the right is the chassis of a burnt out 9 man Trackmaster, which was a locally built unit to replace the Wickhams.

The small unit below Geoff is in the dark about, not having done any research yet. It has a four cylinder Ford engine which has some components missing. Note the Wickham in the background without the bull bar.

Geoff has now bought three of these Wickham trolleys.
