Two views of M79900 on the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway on 23rd Feb, when it made a test run to Idridgehay. The platform at this station is too low for present regulations, when operations start stewards on-board will stop passengers alighting until the formation pulls forward to the 'high level' platform seen in the lower picture. 55000 just about made it for the first day of the
railways new winter timetable. These pics show it waiting to depart
Buckfastleigh on it's first passenger train and at Totnes on the return working.
It still has a few things to sort out but it made the three round trips and just
like in BR days, there was no heat and the air & axle lights playing up! |
