LMS articulated unit This unit was built at Derby and introduced in 1937. I have come across these works pictures showing some details of the set. Most people think of works pictures as being nice 3/4 views of completed locos / rolling stock, whereas there was only a very small percentage of these. Most were actually detail shots, as almost all these are. No doubt there were many many more taken of the vehicles as they were built, and the better ones would have been filtered out as they changed hands over the years to leave this selection. But they are still an important piece of DMU history, and surprisingly there is an interior shot of the 3rd class section.

It is interesting to note that while only one was built, two were planned, and the description on the back of the prints states 'articulated sets'

The number with the picture is the negative number, and the date taken, followed by the description where written.
