Left: The two Class 126 cab types face to face. On the left
is an 'intermediate' car, with it's gangway removed and
plated over, and on the right a 'leading' car. Again at
Glasgow Central. Right: This 'intermediate' car (the now
preserved 51017) still has it's gangway
fitted, and carries a cover once commonly used on the back
of hauled stock. The Class 126s generally always ran latterly

A 6-car Class 126 set is seen ready for
departure from Paisley Gilmour Street for Glasgow. 51012
awaits its fate after withdrawal. The boarded up windows
were a sign it was an asbestos contaminated vehicle. Both Andy

undergoing an HLF restoration at the Midland Railway
Centre. A 6-car 126 set, led by 420 leaves Glasgow
