The Gosforth Round Table organised "The Bellingham Belle" excursion. It ran from Newcastle Central Station to West Woodburn on the old North British in England line from Morpeth to Reedsmouth Junction. Previously the excursion had run through to Bellingham on The Border Counties line to Riccarton Junction but by 1965 only the stretch from Morpeth to West Woodburn survived. This excursion ran faily regularly each September to The Bellingham Agricultural Show. It show on of the 6 car units which included a miniature buffet car (one of which survives in preservation).
